October has been designated as College Knowledge Month. The main goal of College Knowledge Month, according to the Minnesota Office of Higher Education, is to provide every graduating high school senior with the preparation, opportunity, and support needed to apply to college – with a particular focus on helping first-generation students, low-income students, and students who may not otherwise apply to college.
We at NCTC want you to know that College Knowledge Month is much more than just applying to colleges. It is about learning the importance of college readiness, how to prepare to be successful in college, and planning for college. NCTC has highly-trained staff that can answer your questions and walk you through the admissions and enrollment process at a time that is convenient for you. We encourage anyone with questions about NCTC to contact us in person, over the phone, or via email.
It is important to note than many of our students are not coming directly out of high school and College Knowledge Month is a great time for anyone to look at furthering their education. NCTC can train you for a career on either of our campuses, at our aerospace site, through online classes, or in our evening class format. The choice is ultimately up to each student and College Knowledge Month serves as a great time to familiarize yourself with these options and take advantage of the benefits that come from applying at this time.
As a member of Minnesota State, a system of 30 colleges, 7 universities, and 54 campuses across the state, we share a common goal during College Knowledge Month of serving you by offering higher education that meets your personal and career goals. We encourage you to look into how to fulfill all of your goals by visiting tournorthland.com, where you can virtually tour any of our programs or campuses at your convenience.
As an added incentive, anyone who applies to NCTC during October 24-31, 2016 will not have to pay the $20 application fee. In order to qualify for the free application fee, you will have to enter the Promo Code “CKM2016” when filling out an application.
